Me! I don't get them either. We paid the same amount for DD's shoes, but she was professionally fitted for them and they provide the support she needs as she learns to walk, so I'm cool with paying the money for that.

FPs also just aren't my style.

I think they're adorable, but I just don't have the cash to throw down. But some people have that much $$ to spend on shoes I guess. If I had a ton of disposable income I would buy them. I actually just bought our second pair of Robeez online today- $25 is more my speed. LO is really starting to stand and her 0-6 months ones (a gift) are getting a little snug so I figured it's worth it for the next few months as she (I assume) learns to walk.

Adding- I would be more apt to pay $60 for shoes that were professionally fitted, older age kid so they'd last a bit longer, and when LO was WALKING walking and needed that good fitted shoe support, like @heartonastring: says. I think $60 for basically a "foot cover" is the ridiculous part. HA- a foot condom. Because basically it just protects the feet!

YES!! I think they're ugly and I can't imagine paying $60 for a non-structured shoe. I mean, if I'm being honest I wouldn't spend that much on any pair of shoes for my early walker.

I think they're adorable and would have loved a pair for LO but no way was I going to spend that much on shoes, even during their "sales" which aren't a big enough discount to persuade me.

I'm actually just not a fan of the style. The price is a second strike for me.

I think they are freaking adorable, but I could not spend the money on them. It's just like any other design item IMO. I wouldn't buy a Burberry scarf either, no matter how badly I want one.

I don't like moccasins on anyone (although littles pull the look off much more successfully than adults!). . . so I wouldn't have bought these regardless of price.

@Weagle: Haha, YES to what you said. $60 baby shoes are a straight up status symbol, nothing else.

They are the “it” thing of the moment, so of course a segment of the parenting population loves them, especially if they can pair them with a chevron printed Tea item and a baby-sized Starbucks latte.

I'm personally not a fan of the style and don't really get the hype.

I keep Vi exclusively in soft flexible soles to provide stability and promote balance, based on our pediatricians advice and my own research. We won't be buying her "supportive" shoes until she's at least 3. Minimalist shoes are better for her foot development.

So for us, that's the whole point. It's hard to find soft soled shoes in larger sizes.

They are outside our budget, which is why I enter giveaways for them. We've won twice. I've never paid $60 for a pair of shoes, not even for myself.
We also get more reasonably priced similar ones from etsy sellers ($25ish).

I think they're super cute although they are quite the fad right now. $60 is too steep. I agree with @Arden and the benefits of minimalist soles. Having a structured sole does not help your LO walk.

Plus, there are WAY uglier structured children's shoes out there!

@Weagle: totally agree.

I don't mind spending some $ on something that I just love or something I feel will be a keepsake but FP mocs aren't that for me. I do think it's hard to find baby/toddler shoes that appeal to me because I like high quality shoes and also shoes that aren't going to clash with 75 percent of her clothes. I get FPs in that they're a simple design and can be a neutral solid color but I don't know about the quality. Also something about the hysteria over them turns me off, like people entering contest after contest for another freaking pair of baby shoes. And FWIW I live in a pretty upscale area and I'm pretty sure no one would even know what they were. It's only a status symbol for a very small group who frequent the blogs and IG.

I think they are cute and honestly, I like the story behind it when the founder appeared on Shark Tank. I was desperate to find a shoe that DD wouldn't pull off and we have lost quite a few soft sole shoes already that add up to more than $60. I don't mind paying more to support shoes and clothes that are made in the U.S.A. DD hasn't tried to pull these off yet. My DH thinks they are f-ugly though. LOL

I don't get their appeal, but I also don't have a baby girl which they seem very oriented towards. LO was in Robeez for a month or two at best before needing a stronger soled shoes for city walking and play.

Switching him to Stride Rite was one of the best decisions we made because the shoes hold up well and he gets so much use out of them. I haven't paid $60 for shoes for him, but if they're worth it I would. I wouldn't buy FP though at that price.

I think they are really cute but won't pay $60 for them. I followed @Arden: 'a advice and entered some giveaways but I'm not that lucky. I do want to keep her in soft soles for a while, for the reasons Arden posted, but robeez will do unless I win some.

@kjpugs: you have to tell me if those robeez stay on! I was so tempted to get them but I got the pansy style instead bc I was afraid she would be able to pull the espadrilles off.

Also- I totally thought robeez were the fancy fad overpriced brand until I started looking into it more and realized thy are the cheap ones!
