Are you at all crafty?

I make scarves throughout the year and come christmas, figure out who gets which one. I also learned to make hats this year, so I'll be making more of those since they're so fast!

For my mom, aunt, sister, and cousin, I've also made trivets/centerpiece/doily things. My great aunt had a ton of quilt pieces in her closet when she died, so I took some dresden plates (they're sort of like a round star shaped thing) and am quilting them using my mom's great-aunt's curtains as backing.

Quilted coasters are rather easy if you have a sewing machine.

Do you knit? Possibilities are endless

I always love the mason jar recipe ideas. Like you put all of the dry ingredients to a cookie, or really any dessert recipe layered in a mason jar, and then with twine you wrap a recipe card to go along with it!

homemade sugar scrub for the aunts! so easy and so cute (and frugual!) All it takes is sugar, coconut oil, and whatever scent you want. I did it and colored 1/2 red and made it look like a candy cane, scented with peppermint!

@Seattlemom: Magazine subscriptions are an awesome and inexpensive gift. You can get them for so cheap right now but they feel like a treat because the person gets to enjoy it all year!

To actually give it to the person, I like to get the current issue of the magazine and something kind of related to whatever it is (golf balls for Golf magazine, pretty measuring spoons for Food Network magazine).
