Last night I said something about being able to see DS's (2.5) butt crack while I was helping him undress. He repeated the word, then started pointing at me saying "you're a butt crack! you're a butt crack!" repeatedly. It was hilarious! I just hope he doesn't repeat it at daycare

My almost 2 year old has just started saying SHIRT all the time. But she doesn’t quite have the R sound so she just points to her top and yells shit at random and I can’t stop laughing about it.

Last night my four-year-old tried to convince me that a crocodile was a baby alligator. When he realized that I wasn't backing down and letting him be right, he tried to save face by saying, "that's what they were called way back in the 1990's. But they're not called that anymore, so we're both right. "

On Sunday W fell down and split his lip, so there was blood and tears and cuddles. Afterwards B was really acting out. Finally I said “B, what is going on with you?!” He thought about it and said “I don’t like it when other people get a lot of attention and I don’t get a lot of attention.” I couldn’t stop laughing.

My 4.5 year old DD told me this morning that she's never going to have boobs. I told her that all grown up girls have boobs. She replied, "no they don't because ms (preschool teacher) is a grown up girl and she doesn't have any boobies". In her defense she is quite thin and small chested but I couldn't help but laugh. I just hope she doesn't tell this to her teacher

DS went to a bake sale at school for the first time. He was really impressed by the cookie he got. He was describing it like this: first there was a circle THIS BIG, then on top there was CHOCOLATE, and then it was covered in SPRINKLES!!!!! When he got to the sprinkles bit, he was so excited he'd start jumping up and down!
DD has been telling me since Halloween that a ghost at the window is keeping her up at bedtime. I had no clue what she's talking about, but I'd go, shake the curtain, and tell the ghost to go away. So last week it finally hit me that the grommet holes on top of the curtain look like little glowing eyes in the dark. Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud... now DS and DH are creeped out too

Last night we got out some of our new outdoor Christmas decorations but I said we couldn't put them up bc I was solo parenting DD (4 yo) and DS (9 mos).... DD said "just put DS to bed and then we can decorate"... made me laugh so hard!!! She had no cares that it was like 430 pm
Another funny DD story is when we were doing our "thankful" turkey feathers last week the first thing she said she was thankful for was her BODY. I'm not sure why but it just strikes me as so funny.

@Ajsmommy: My almost 4 year old pulls a similar thing - he gets to watch tv while the 20 month old naps, so at about 10:30 he starts going “W, are you tired? Are you ready for a nap?”

DS is in major imitation mode, so when he recently heard DH hang up the phone with me by saying "Bye sweetie!" he started imitating it and now he says "Bye sweetie!" when he is saying goodbye.

My mom asked DD if she was being a piece of work, DD responded "I'm not a piece of work. Daddy goes to work - I'm just a kid."
Also she has started calling everyone honey. Which is hilarious. So she says "hello honey" any time she greats someone. Yells "honey I need help" if we are busy. Just everyone is always honey.

@nwm: same with mine! My husband and I call each other "babe" sometimes, so now whenever I am saying goodbye to DS he says "bye babe"

Just posted this on my Instagram! DS just turned two and is suddenly obsessed with his play kitchen. He brings us food and asks if we are “hungry in our tummies for more”

My almost-four year old got out of the tub tonight, looked at his wrinkly hands, and said “oh no, Mom, my fingers are going bad!” He’s been watching a lot of Moana and apparently thought it was like the coconuts.

A couple of weeks ago, I said something about Billy Idol, and DS shouted, "Who's Billy Eyeball?!" And then tonight he was dancing around in black pants and no shirt and I said that he looked like Patrick Swayze. He shrieked, "Who's Patrick Squeezee?" It was awesome

DS (3.5) and I were playing Hi Ho Cherry O today. He told me he needed to read the directions, grabbed them, and then said “I can’t read these! They aren’t in English!”
And last night he saw a copy of a Simpsons book and started giggling and said “wow i’ve never seen a book with a french fry boy like this before!”
