I had my annual pap at the same time as my 6 week pp chck last january. He told me "i don't want to see you for another year" (as in dont get ku!)
Well it's feb and im going for my annual pap today. He'll be thrilled!
Did your OB also say dont get KU for a year following baby?

My home birth midwife did -- she was really aggressive about it and was asking me detailed questions about our birth control plan, etc. I was actually really relieved that I didn't want to use her again when I found out I was pregnant just 4 months after giving birth.
My new OB/midwife practice has been really great about the back-to-back pregnancies and never said anything negative about it.

Yup! My ob told me not to get ku for at least a year..they were on me for bc for a while

Yes. I was told to wait 18 months between pregnancies!

@mrsjyw: yes. My OB partners tell everyone to wait at least a year to heal.

My midwife seemed more concerned about avoiding unwanted pregnancies than telling me not to get KU. They sure do ask you a lot about your birth control plans though-- at my last few prenatal appts, and two or three times in the hospital, plus at the 6 week appt!

My OB asked about PP birth control at our 1st prenatal appt! 
I don't think she will be shy about telling us to wait a while after LO arrives!

Mine didn't. They didn't necessarily say to get ku ASAP, but the ones that delivered and I saw in the hospital were all very eager to see us have another. They also didn't push bc at all, or really ask about it.

My OB did ask me about it. I was on the mini pill for a week. I went off of it because I hated it and thought it wasn't necessary.

I've not been asked about it yet, but I sorta doubt I will be. The office I go to specializes in NFP, so while they might tell you to avoid, it doesn't strike me as the kind of place that will get bent out of shape if you come back sooner than planned with another pregnancy.

@LovelyPlum: yes! DH was there & he reminded me of it just the other day. I know she would be kind & supportive no matter what but it was crazy to be thinking about that at 8 or 9 weeks preggo! she always talks about what's coming up next so it must just be how her brain works.

@jhd: Mine too. My midwife was like "Ok, now you don't want to get pregnant anytime soon, right?" And I was like "Haha hell no!" and she goes "Oh good. So about BC..." and I said "Condoms, if I ever have sex again." And she laughed and that was that.

Mine told me to try and wait a year before getting KU due to having a c-section. She was aggressive about BC, but I stopped taking it after like a week. But I'm going on 15 months so I guess I did follow the rules

As an addition, my OB didn't tell me that I had to wait a certain amount of time before getting pregnant again. She just asked if I was going to go on birth control.

@looch: I guess it depends on your situation. It's really not healthy to get pregnant right away, your body needs time to heal. Honestly, I can't imagine back to back pregnancies, I love the 1 on 1 time with my son. Plus, I want him to be potty trained before we have another LO.
