Last week was pet week at daycare. We sent in a picture of our dog, Thumper. When the teacher asked our lo what her name was, our LO said "Thumpy" - a nickname we use a lot. The teacher labeled her pet picture as "Stumpie".

At a school concert for his older siblings - he was looking at a book of trucks ... and yelled out really loudly "Look, trucks!" but EVERYONE around us heard "This Sucks!". A father in the row in front of us, turned around and said "he's not wrong ..." LOL still don't think anyone believes me that he was talking about trucks.

It's not quite the same, but the other day DD kept saying a word that sounded like "dawl" and I kept asking her "dog", "doll", etc, and she kept saying no. Finally, I asked her to tell me what it was in French and she said "fille", so she meant "girl" in English! It can be useful to have another language to clear up confusion!

@HLK208: hahaha that totally reminded me of my nephew. He used to say "let's go get the lego destructions!" instead of instructions. My brother, the evil parent he is, never corrected him! hahaha He's 13 now and knows the proper word but he said destructions for a while! It was so funny!

The other day DH's aunt asked DD what her penguin's name is and then said "oh, Dick is such a cute name for your friend." Why would we name a 1.5 year old's penguin Dick???? Obviously his name is Duck.

DS loves to play hide and seek all the time. Even though he says hide perfectly, he insists on calling the game "o seek" which sounds exactly like "oh sh!t." We've gotten dirty looks for it.

I love these!
When LO says cracker it comes out a lot like "cock hole." Whenever we're out in public I always make sure to repeat "crack-er" really clearly just in case anyone is listening.

DS did some project at daycare about his family and they asked him who was in his family. He proceeded to tell them not only our nuclear family, but our extended family too. His teachers thought we lived with grandparents and that my nieces were our pets. Haha!
