Anyone just see this? Was she the creator of the CD industry?
She said she does $3M in sales, but only makes $20k and that she spends her time suing companies for infringing on her patent for CD design...
She also said someone stole her design for CDs.... I'm thinking BumGenius?

They look just like bumgenius! The sharks were like, whoah.... Not getting involved. Very interesting. She needs to give up the fighting and just sell her diapers! It was a very interesting story.

I *love* Shark Tank and have tivo'd it to watch with husband.
There is a lot of controversy about her patent, from what I've read, and without having watched the show I think she/the company would be better off investing their time in their brand and customer service. They're such a big name, their business can't be threatened that much by work at home moms, etc, who happen to make "pocket" diapers. I know that FuzziBunz has also been accused of copying from another diaper maker (evolution diapers), and then had some employee leave the company and start their own company, starting another lawsuit/public drama. I feel like companies should catch on that if they're going to be on the show, they need to be prepared.. they had some neat little cup (olli cup maybe?) and when I went online to look they said they were sold out for 3 months or something, so there were lots of frustrated customers!

From someone who used both Fuzzibunz and BumGenius...... SO not the same. They work totally differently and BumGenius is infinitely superior, IMO.

I've never used cloth diapers and I know everyone is different. She can't sue every cloth diapering company (obviously) but if her patent is right, and they are copy cats then she should be able to get something out of it. hopefully

Just as a random aside, my FF due date girls watched this last night too and told me the company she actually takes huge issue with is Alvas. Apparently they are exact replicas of fuzzibuns but are infinitely cheaper by virtue of being made in China.

Yeah, Zippylef, that is what I had heard too. It was Charlie Banana and apparently they used to work together or something. And I have both diapers and they are extremely similar but CB puts the pocket in at the front. They both have the same triangular snap pattern (which drives ME bananas) and the adjusting using the internatl-elastics-with-buttons.
