my LO wasn't officially diagnosed with GERD but she projectile vomited after almost every nursing session for the first 6 weeks. I don't know what changed (maybe bigger appetite) but she did not vomit a lot after that!

LO is 4.5 months and has hated lying flat since birth, spits up at least once (usually multiple times) after almost every feeding, occasional painful looking spit up hours later that smells very acidic, arching and fussiness after feeding, lots of hiccups- one day he got them 7 times!, occasional bouts of inconsolable screaming where absolutely nothing we did would calm him down. For a long time we chalked it up to normal pediatric reflux as our first pediatrician told us all babies have some level of it. Recently he started with a dry cough (not sick) and we took him in to the new Ped. He said it was likely esophageal irritation from GERD and after discussing his other symptoms recommended baby Zantac. We also went back to having him sleep semi-upright in a swing, instead of flat in his crib. His sleep immediately improved and the cough is gone. He seems to tolerate being on his back better now (play mat etc.) as long as it's been enough time after eating. We've been on Zantac for 1.5 weeks and while it's not a miracle cure it does seem to have helped.

ETA: Like yours, our LO was gaining weight normally so that wasn't necessarily a red flag
