I did! i was around 3 sessions a day.

I did on our first month trying. I was down to 2 sessions in 24 hours. I had had 7 (5 very regular) cycles though. I'm that lucky one that got AF back at 5 months PP while EBF.

I'm pregnant and still breastfeeding. In a 24 hour period, he nurses morning, 2 afternoon sessions, before bed and then anywhere from 1-3x at night....although we have been on the lower end lately, thank goodness. Oh, and I had just gotten AF back in April, had my period in May and missed it in June. We weren't trying at all.

I did. Took about 6 cycles once my birth control finally left my system. We weren't actively "trying" for about four of those, just not preventing. Ellie was four, and we were down to three or less sessions a day on the average day. My understanding is that once your period returns and is regular, your fertility shouldn't be strongly affected.

I forgot to answer the other part I guess. It was our first cycle trying, and I HIGHLY recommend charting as BFing can cause a short luteal phase. We weren't trying yet but by charting I saw how my luteal phase lengthened month by month which was great.

I was very close to weaning, 1 session a day. It took 9 months after stopping the mini pill.
I had 10 pounds of extra "fluff", so as soon as I started working out daily I got pregnant right away. That has worked both times for me, so I'm not sure how much bf'ing or even the pill had to do with my stretch of not getting pregnant.

@lemondrop: good to know. I just stopped the mini pill as of today! We aren't ttc yet, but I want to see if I would even have my period back yet if it weren't for the pill. We are still BF 4x/day as well.

@Orvis18: my period came back fairly regularly after stopping the mini pill. I'm not convinced I was ovulating every month, but I think it was my weight more than anything. That's just me though, I know my weight was affecting my fertility.

I did! Still nursing 5+ times a day (and at night) and had a pretty wonky cycle. We got pregnant first full cycle we tried (we tried the one before but it was already after I O'd when we decided). Charting cm & cp DEFINITELY helped though b/c I ovulated late.

@runsyellowlites: How long had your cycle been back before your started TTC?
Hubs and I aren't ready for #2 yet, but I'm already starting to think about this because I'm still nursing/pumping 6 times a day, so curious if my cycle will come back (currently on the mini pill) anytime soon and if I'll be able to get pregnant while BFing.

I had 3 super wonky cycles before I got pregnant. It may have happened sooner but my husband wasn't there to GET me pregnant, lol. W was still nursing at least 5 times a day and that includes one 230 am session (which we have since dropped, praise Buddha).

@Adira: af returned at 9ish mths pp.... I had had 5 periods, cycles ranging from 18 days to 37 days. Got pregnant on pp cycle 6.

I did. First try. I was still nursing 8-10x a day and at night. I had had ny period back for 6 months. DS1 was 21 months old.

I got pregnant on the first cycle of TTC and was BFing 4-5 times a day.
I got AF back at 11 weeks PP.

I got pregnant the 2nd cycle trying, nursing A 7 times in a 24 hour period.

I put "I was" but it wasn't me, it was my sister. I don't know what her cycles were like or if she was TTC for very long, though.

I did- we were nursing 4 times a day, and it didn't really take much trying ;).

I was nursing probably 5-7 times a day and once or twice at night. I'd had 2 or 3 cycles, not regular at all, and one was so light, I'm still not sure whether it counts or not! I was half heartedly tracking CM on the successful cycle!
ETA: my cycle came back 3.5 months PP
probably not relevant: my supply dried up completely by 7 weeks. didn't even have any engorgement when we stopped nursing cold turkey

I was still BF'ing 4-5 times per day and had had two, very long cycles before I got pregnant. We weren't actively trying but we certainly weren't preventing!

I did not. I got my BFP right after DS self-weaned. He weaned at 21 mo pp, I got a weird AF 2 weeks later, and 6 weeks later I got my
~22.5 mo pp. AF returned 17 mo pp and up until the day DS weaned he was nursing 4-5x/day and 2++x/night.My friend did get pregnant while breastfeeding though. Her daughter was under a year old when she got her
and she was nursing full time, without supplementing. Her cycle had returned a few months prior to conceiving.
