So my husbands family (extended family--about 45 people) will be playing a white elephant gift exchange at Christmas this year. We are participating...and I have noooo idea what to get. It is a cheap gift--around $25 and should be for someone like me (ie: in my case a 32 year old woman). I don't want to do a gift card...but any other ideas?

We are doing the same thing and my husband's family ends up bringing a mix of fun gifts and gag gifts. We got this ugly ceramic thing last time and it opens up so we are bringing it again this year and I plan to put $20 in it as a surprise. A good gift hidden inside a bad one!

I love the good gift inside a bad one...smart!
Otherwise, I wouldn't go gag only....I can't carry that off!

We did a gift card to a restaurant hidden inside a free calendar that the restaurant was handing out one year.

@woodentulip: we did this with some neighbours but it wasn't gag gifts at all. So I did a scarf, necklace and a eos lip balm.
The prize I won was a set from bath and body works and a bracelet.

I'm giving 7 bath and body works soaps with 3 hand mini sanitizers. DH is giving a $25 GC to the liquor store.
