I always see such cute gift wrapping ideas on pinterest. But they always seem like a lot of work. I have a million bags from my wedding and LO being born, so I just reuse those.
Do you get creative with your gift wrapping?

I try to! This last Christmas I used old drawings (I'm a Architect) from work and bought pretty ribbon from the dollar store. Eco-friendly & cheap but still different & pretty!
It was REALLY hard for me not to wrapping paper in each kid's favorite character though.

@regberadaisy: What a cute idea! Maybe in the future I'll have LO do some artwork for the wrapping paper. That would be so much fun!

@artbee:
haha I did that for a friend's birthday present last year too. My co-worker's kids were in the office one day and they were drawing on the back of old sheets. So I used the back side they drew on to wrap the birthday gift. It made for some interesting conversation after gift opening! hahaha
Do you have a Ikea near you? Ikea has kids drawing paper on a roll (I think they are 24" wide), they are a great thickness for wrapping too! I would totally save kids' drawings to use for wrapping paper. Better than just throwing them out right? And I bet family members especially would get a kick out of it!

nope, just use the wrapping paper i've accumulated and don't do a very good job at that. i'd love to take a gift wrapping course or something haha.

@tequiero21: The only wrapping paper I have is Christmas paper. And I'm Jewish so it's been with me for years!

@artbee: haha and you know what? when you decide to throw it out, that's when you need it again!

@tequiero21: Lol, I never throw things like that out! I do use it to wrap gifts though around holiday time. I figure people don't really care what the wrapping is, as long as they love the gift!

Nope! I'm all about simple wrapping. It all gets thrown out anyway. I hate when people open gifts carefully. Paper wrapped gifts are supposed to be ripped and opened quickly!

I just buy a gift bag and tissue paper. This way the bag can be resused. gift wrap just gets ripped up and wasted.

I have a little bit of a wrapping paper addiction, I love making presents pretty.

I'm totally uptight about wrapping. I wrap all holiday gifts thematically and will re-wrap DH's presents because he's sloppy.

@chopsuey119: Seriously. It's not like they're actually going to save that paper!
@oliviaoblivia: Lol, I'm the sloppy wrapper in this family. My husband is so much better at it then me, but he's too lazy to actually do it.

It depends on who I'm giving the gift to. If its someone who will appreciate a well-wrapped gift, I'll go out of my way to make it look nice, but there are some people who don't care (men, kids, etc) and for them its not worth my time when they won't appreciate it anyway.

@meaganceleste: I just made my brother a candy basket for his birthday. I spent so much time putting stickers and bows on it to make it pretty, and I kept saying, "it needs something else to make it look pretty." And my husband kept saying, "do you really think he cares if it looks pretty?!" But I cared and that's what mattered to me.

I get really into gift wrapping presentation at Christmas time but besides that I am usually pretty last minute about it. I am going to plan it out for LOs birthdays though & try to always make it really special.
