all i see are jeans/booty shorts that look like underwear. DH HATES IT and is so thankful LO is a boy. LOL

Seriously though. Parents need to stop letting their daughters dress like s@#4s! -
@mrsjyw: Oh my goodness, that's exactly what Hubby and I have discussed! We saw a young girl out at a store and she had to pull them down because I swear we almost saw girl parts. We walked out and I looked at Hubby and said, "If we have another girl, we.." and he chimed in, "She will put on clothing when we go out." He was so uncomfortable being so close to someone so young in such inappropriate clothing. It was not cool.

I know! My old high school just passed a rule where they have to be to their knee. I don't blame them.

For real. I have bigger thighs so it is so hard to find shorts that longer for me. Some are just SO short. I can't imagine if I have a daughter wearing them.

Here is what I don't understand: The age of the girls that are wearing these shorts is so young. The parents have to be buying them for these girls! What is wrong with these parents?! I don't give a shit if this is trendy when my LO is older. She will absolutely not be wearing booty shorts like that until she has a job and can buy them herself if she wants. And even then, I'd prefer she not do it until she doesn't live under my roof anymore.

@highwire: exactly. I'll have my mother make my girl shorts if that's what it comes down to or buy pants and cut them off to have decent shorts. I don't ever buy the "that's all they sell" answer.
