I've been reading the Janet Lansbury info, which I find to match my parenting style/ philosophy pretty well. But I was wondering if anyone has other recommendations? My DS is almost 17 months and definitely testing and wanting to do things his way, which is know is age-appropriate! Just looking for some other tools to use with him. Thanks!!

after reading no bad kids by lansbury, i also considered reading no-drama discipline and peaceful parent, happy kids. i've seen these recommended by other hive members and reading about them made me think they'd be my style. unfortunately i haven't actually read them so i can't give a real recommendation, but just wanted to offer up some ideas!

So far the Happiest Toddler on the Block has worked well for us, but we might need more ideas soon! He's turned two and entered the no no noooo phase! I'll be watching this thread for ideas.

I'm currently reading The Pocket Parent, which has a lot of good ideas and suggestions. However, I think it is probably better for older toddlers (3+), since a lot of what the book says to do involves having conversations with your child and listening to them. My 2 year old's verbal communication skills aren't that great yet.
