Anyone ever think that when they're putting their LO's down?

definitely! we have a 2-week old, and i'm always nervous for the first 15 minutes after we put him down, wondering if it's going to be one of those times he falls asleep for a while or if he's going to start fussing.

He's usually pretty awesome at falling asleep when we put him down but I always try to will him back to sleep if he wakes up early in the morning or takes a short nap!

Yes! She whimpered for 32 minutes last night before she fell asleep.....

I'm always thinking that during long middle of the night feeds or when I'm desperate for a nap.

@MsLipGloss: I went into another room and turned on the TV. I was rocking her to sleep for the last few days and I want to break the habit.

I think "Go the F to Sleep" (in Samuel L. Jackson's voice, of course)!

@MrsJacks: That's exactly what I think! I also sometimes imagine certain things (like stories) in Morgan Freeman's voice.
@AutumnLove: (((Hugs))) I am having a baby nurse come in this week to help with sleeping . . . I am terrified! But I have got to get more than 1.5-2 hours of continuous sleep at night. I can barely function as is.

@MsLipGloss: Thanks! I think moving threw things off for my LO! Good luck with the baby nurse!

@Mrs. Jacks: ME TOO! lol. My BFF got me that book as a baby shower gift and now I think that (in his voice) every. single. time. she's fighting sleep.

We will not be sleep training A but I do think "Go the f to sleep!" on nights that it is taking forever to get her to sleep. On some nights it takes up to 1.5 hours to get her down.

My muscles have been sore this week and I think it's because I lay there tensed up after I lay him down in the middle of the night just waiting for him to cry. It makes me so anxious... I just want him to sleep all night! Too much to ask? lol

@Mrs. Jacks: Thank you! I'm glad I wasn't the only one who heard that in my head when I saw the title to this post...

@Mrs. Jacks: yes! I read it to my husband on the Kindle during rough nights, it makes us giggle.

I go as far as to sing it to him (to the tune of brahm's lullaby)- "go to sleep, little boy, and I'll see you on waking, go to sleep, little guy, and I'll see you in dreamland, duh duh daaaa" and then I usually just hum the rest.
Oh and I saw the best ecard thing "you better be this hard to get to bed when you're 18"

Every single time I put him down. Especially during long middle-of-the-night feedings

Every nap and night I think this. We also rock our LO to sleep. Hoping to break it eventually. Just wish he'd go longer than 2-3 hours at a sleep.
