With the lack of attention being paid to the site lately have you or will you be renewing your gold membership?
Mine has just expired but I don’t think I’m going to renew at this point in time

Not exactly an answer to your question.. but I haven't been gold for most of my time on this site and I don't feel like I miss too much... sure there are a few threads I'd post on but can't access due to gold but it's not an overwhelming amount.

I didn’t renew. I let it lapse and decided I would renew when/if there was a gold post I really wanted to see. I am coming up on a year non renewed......
There was a time when on any given day the front page had like 5 gold posts. There hasn’t been a gold post in at least a month if not more. I miss the privacy aspect but most of the people I would wall I have ways of contacting outside of HB (Instagram, FB, etc) so I’m not particularly concerned. Plus MrBee is great about gold-ing wall posts if you ask him!
ETA: I was originally gifted it - I think that I probably wouldn’t have sprung for it to start with if I wasn’t gifted it. After I experienced it, I didn’t really want to go back — that is, until the difference between being gold and not became so negligible.

I miss some aspects of Gold (specially the jumping to the last read post), but I didn't renew it when it lapsed because I wasn't really sure there was anyone around to make sure it happened, and now I'm kind of used to not having it...

I've been gifted gold and also renewed myself... I haven't had it for a LONG time now and barely notice the difference.
@LBee: Totally agree with you on the # on gold posts then vs now!

Agree with others - I had it when there were more gold posts that interested me, but I haven't seen one in ages!

I have it, I like being able to post privately to people's walls, but that is the only perk I benefit from. It's been a lot longer than a month since there was a gold thread, and there have been many topics I've wanted to make gold threads on, but haven't bothered since no one else has it anymore and I want more than 4 other users to be able to comment. I don't think 25 bucks is a lot of money for an entire year considering how much I use HB (or used to use?) but not sure I'll renew again.

@Adira: I didn't realize how much I loved the perk of jumping to the last read post until I didn't have it anymore! Can we just pay for that feature?

That should just be a standard feature (I’m a digital project manager and its pretty basic).

@Kemma: I renewed in January this year and won't be renewing again. The only feature I use is to post privately on people's walls, which I do like, but not for $25 a year. I, too, might have done some gold posts this year, but so few people have gold (I think) that I didn't expect much response. If there were more features, or I felt like the Bees were actually maintaining the site I might reconsider, but I don't see a point.

@Adira: jumping to the last read is the only feature I miss.
I haven't had gold in a while and since it seems like so few have it it's not worth it to me.

I paid for gold since it became available because I loved the last read feature. But... I didn’t renew this time because of the lack of attention to this site. I feel like I can’t justify paying for it. I really miss the last read feature, but it just means I spend less time on here, which is probably a good thing.

I let mine lapse a long time ago and don’t ever foresee myself renewing. It’s only $25 but I would rather have 5 Starbucks lattes

I have gold but it expires in a few months and I will not renew. I mainly had it for the jumping to the last read feature but that has been glitchy for me the last couple months and doesn’t always work so what is the point? Plus there aren’t any gold posts anymore.

@Kemma: I received Gold as a gift the very 1st time it was launched on the site. I think I may have renewed it once but after that i didn't because there wasnt a lot of gold content

I can’t imagine there are many gold only posts anymore since it’s seems like most people don’t have gold now... I think the appeal is kinda gone?!
