Does anyone have any suggestions for an outdoor play set for a smallish yard? I'd prefer it to not be plastic, but I'd also prefer to not pay through the nose for it, and I realize those might be mutually exclusive.

How old is your Lo? Are you looking for a swing set type setup, with slide? Or like a climbing structure? We have friends who have wooden swing sets from toys r us, they seem decent. I have heard the costco ones are more sturdy. But we have just gotten some plastic step 2 climbing structures so far, since those are easier to sell or dispose of when they have outgrown the stage.

@T-Mom: Thanks! Yeah, after doing some more research our yard is way too small for an actual wooden playset. We'll probably just go with a plastic one from Craigslist and re-sell it once she outgrows it. It seems like their "shelf-life" isn't super long.
