I have an event showing up in Google maps that I am not going to. I don't want it to show up every time I open google maps. Any idea how to turn this off? It is something that was sent to me in email - that is the only way I can imagine maps has picked it up.

@mediagirl: Can you see the event in Google Calendar? If you can, then you can probably just delete it from there and it should go away.

@Adira: Nope. And I deleted it from my emails. STILL THERE.

Is this from a gmail account that you read on your phone? How do you read your emails on your phone? What app do you open up to read it? I know on an iphone, they have the 'mail' app. The mail app might have loaded this meeting onto your phone, which is why it shows up in google maps app when you open it.
I actually stopped using iphone's mail app because of the issues I've had with it. I now used a yahoo mail app and a outlook mail app.

@mediagirl: Hmm... unfortunately I've never had an event show up in maps for me, so I'm not sure. Can you click on it and decline it? Did you decline it in your e-mail? Maybe go through your trash and find it and decline it??
