I thought the show was just OK at first, but it's gotten better and better each episode. Penguin's Umbrella really took things to a whole new level though! It felt like a show on HBO, not Fox.
Anyone else watching Gotham? What do you think so far?

We've watched the first three episodes and that's it because we weren't too crazy about it. The others are stored on the DVR, so it's good to know it gets better. I really like the Penguin guy.

My DH is super into it. At the beginning I wasn't at all - just a bit too dark and violent for me, but now the plot has me sucked in. Without giving spoilers, DH was all, "Oh yeah, clearly you don't care about this show at all" on Monday when I was raging over one of the characters being totally stupid and messing up Jim's whole plan. Guilty.
I still have to look away at some parts though - I prefer my violence Dark Knight style where they cut away so that I know what happened without having to actually see any gore.

http://www.tv.com/shows/gotham/episodes/It's really heated up in the past two episodes... if you're pressed for time though, maybe wait a few episodes to see if the reviews stay as positive as they've been lately. It's pretty rare for episodes to get a 9.0, so I'd be surprised if they can keep it up!!

We've been watching it since the beginning. I think my husband is a little more hooked on it than I am, but I still enjoy it. There have been some things they've done (like the weather balloons) that seemed a little far fetched, but I think you have to expect some of that in a comic book setting. I do agree that the plot is getting better and drawing me in more.
@wonderstruck: I was mad at that character too! I was surprised that Jim wasn't more upset.

We're really big comic fans so we've been loving it. So excited for Harvey Dent to show up!
