Green poop means that the food is traveling quickly through the digestive track. Occasional green poops are really common and have many sources including viruses. Taking out the formula changes the gut flora she has. So, it will take some time to reset. (side note: we had the opposite problem, green poop until we supplemented with formula and then removed it).

If the green poop does not resolve, I would definitely look into a food intollerance. The most common are milk and soy, eggs, and wheat.

But, I would start with a good probiotic to see if you can reset the gut. But listen to your mommy instinct and if you think there is an issue, don't take "it's normal" as an answer. It took use months to diagnose my sons issues. We only fixed them because I kept insisting that something was wrong.

@mediagirl: I think the occasional green poop is not concerning but since you mentioned it has been a few days I would def talk to the ped. If she's only being fed breast milk then poop should be yellow. FWIW LO also didn't have any visible discomfort before we discovered the allergy.

But one time I think it was because I let him drink the bath water (bad mom?). I thought it was cute at the time. (No soap and very clean water....he had been trying to do it for a while so I thought I'd let him try it once, but I don't let him anymore.)

I 2nd what @Thehistoryofus: said. If I moved DD off of one side before she had emptied it, she would have green poops because she wasn't getting enough of the hindmilk.

If you empty the breast before moving to the other side, and you're still getting green poop, then I would start looking into allergies/intolerance.

It's easier for me to know because I only nurse on one side each session. But to check, I'll try to hand express a little. If some still squirts out, I know I'm not completely empty.
