Happy Earth Day! Is anyone doing anything fun to celebrate Earth Day this year?
I did a few crafts with DD using recycled paper. We made our own paper, and she also made a bowl out of scraps from our recycle bin. http://www.kiwicrate.com/projects/Pretty-Paper-Trinket-Bowl/2009
I love this holiday/celebration so I'm trying to think of other fun things to do to teach the kids about caring for the Earth.

I think I'm running an Earth Day promo at work this week, but other than that, we aren't doing anything.

How did you make paper?
I have no doubt that DS will come home from school with some sort of activity that he dd today in Kindergarten.

@Dandelion: We actually made paper using a kit that came with DD's Kiwi Crate. I have been totally planning to cancel the subscription, but keep forgetting, and this month they came up with an awesome box for Earth Day. It came with a paper making kit. DD loved it. To do it without a pre-made kit, it is a bit more involved, but here is a great tutorial.
