@Mrs. Bee: I just had soondae for dinner tonight:) And I loved Vienna sausages! One of my friends had some Gerber meat sticks and I tried one - tasted just like Vienna sausages!
@Mrs. Cowgirl: I heart Spam. Best meal ever: Spam, rice, egg, & kimchi. Yum. And @MsInformation - awh, totally makes me wanna go find my old Ramona books. Didn't they have to make dinner for their parents b/c of the tongue incident?
honeydew / 7444 posts
@Mrs. Cowgirl: tongue is sooooo delicious.
@MungBean: DH actually bought me the Ramona set for my birthday when we were dating.
I love Kraft Dinner mac n cheese. DH thinks it is grooooss.

Yuck I hate spam. My husband says something gross that I love would be black licorice. Also I love to eat tums, too much! I guess I don't really eat anything gross?

ugh... this thread is nasty!! lol!!
DH makes a bachelor snack where he eats tortilla chips and squirts mustard on each chip before eating it. It's disgusting. Mustard chips.....bleck!
pear / 1743 posts
I love powdered chicken stock sprinkled on buttered toast - I don't do it much anymore because there is no way that is good for you, but I used to do it a lot!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Fried bologna! I haven't had it in years but I don't think it's that weird.
I also love black licorice candies!
All the "gross" things on this list are asian foods....doesn't really phase me, even though I don't eat them!
I put mayo on fried potatoes (like hashbrowns), which DH always thinks is disgusting, but mixed with ketchup is very common down south
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@blackbird: fry sauce! In Utah we always mix our ketchup and mayo!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@anonysquire, YES! People do not get that here! I always get the weirdest looks when i ask for mayo and ketchup with my breakfast potatoes!
papaya / 10473 posts
@blackbird: Mmmmm black licorice!
I also love pickled beets, cottage cheese, and sweet pickles. Grosses DH out to no end. My favorite is to stack toothpicks with sweet pickles and cubes of cheddar cheese.
Ooh, and Velveeta chicken spaghetti with a can ofRo-Tel. I can't handle looking at Velveeta in its gelatinous room-temperature state, but boy is it good melted! I also love avocado popsicles from our local taqueria.

Growing up we always ate corn on the cob with mayonnaise instead of butter. I swear it's good! However, I've gotten made fun of so much that I now eat it with butter

Oh I thought of one I like that's gross, canned smoked oysters! DH thinks its the most disgusting thing ever, but I swear they are good, I only eat a few from a can like once every few years.

I love processed foods. Hostess cupcakes? I miss them so much.
My favorite sandwich is white bread with peanut butter, potato chips, cheddar cheese slices and pickles on it.
Oh and I totally lick the container of chick-fil-a sauce when I get it. It's so delicious. The chicken strips are just a vehicle for the sauce.

Tripe and chicken feet, your usual dim sum fare.

@Mrs. Cowgirl: @MsInformation: I love Ramona so much!
I like to slice pickles and soak them in red wine vinegar. It's my favorite snack! My DH won't come near me when I'm eating it, so I only do when he is at work.

@regberadaisy: My dad is Jewish and his grandmother used to make chicken feet all the time. One time we went out to dim sum in Chinatown and he ordered it, and the little old Chinese lady could not believe that this white guy understood what it was and actually wanted to eat it. She kept saying "no, no, chicken feet, CHICKEN feet" and making this claw gesture with her hand, lol. Eventually she gave up and brought him the chicken feet, lol.

I've never had spam before but after hearing all these people that love it......
I do love braunschweiger which is I guess kind of like spam? It's pate, so they're both meat. My DH thinks it's gross but i could spread it on crackers and eat a whole tube of it! That or pickled herring - love it! But i think that one's fairly normal and my DH is just picky.

Black olives, straight out of the can with a fork.
Gefilte fish
American Cheese, plan, just folded up into the smallest tiny baby sliced cheese slice I can make. Then I eat each tiny square individually.

@LaughLines: OMG, braunschweiger/liverwurst? Yum, yum, yum! On rye bread with lettuce, onion, tomato, American cheese, and Miracle Whip, please! It's really too bad I have to be gluten-free, lol.
clementine / 880 posts
@FarmWifeGina yummm! braunschweiger on its own is gluten free, right? Just eat it straight
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
So, it's not gross, per se, but people think I'm weird for eating a hunk of tofu plain. I'll just put a giant block of medium firm tofu in a bowl, drizzle soy sauce on it and eat it with a fork.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@Mrs Hedgehog: I also have these, I used to have to make cheese frenchies at a place I worked and this was the base sandwich and I used to sneak the little trinagles and eat them before they were breaded! haha

Spam is gross. I don't know how you all can't see that.
I can't think of much that people around this area would find gross that I love. But maybe frog legs, for non-southerners?
@walnutems: Like Mexican street corn? Yum!
blogger / nectarine / 2687 posts
@anonysquire: @highwire: i tried really hard to like olives (because they seem so cool -- they're in martinis!), but i just couldn't...
