This made me snort coffee! DH sometimes shushes DS in his sleep (while I'm changing him) but the crying (right next to him in our bed!) has NEVER woken him up! Meanwhile he makes any sound in his sleep and I'm instantly alert.

I am a deep sleeper but I just turn up the sound on my baby monitor and am instantly alert if there's any sound!

I don't know where the saying "I slept like a baby came from" they have obviously never had a baby!

This is too true in our house... The baby can be screaming at full volume and Wagon Sr. doesn't even flinch! These days I can't even shake him awake, I have to literally HIT him or kind of nudge him into a sitting position before he is really awake. Poor guy.

That's so true for us! To his credit, if i wake him up to go settle S, then he's really good about doing it and letting me sleep
