Our family loves to get dressed up for the holidays! Whether it's something simple, or we go all out, we love it all. Is anyone thinking about costumes yet? We've done both store bought ones and handmade (so much more time consuming) and also "family" costumes with a theme. But no idea what we'll do this year... would love to hear your ideas and share inspo if anyone is thinking of it yet.
Or what have you done in previous years? We couldn't resist dressing our kids as pumpkins when they were infants/babies.
As a family we've also dressed in a spooky Halloween theme (cat, witch, skeleton, bat) and a Winnie the Pooh theme as well.
Some themed ideas.. nerd family--just using khakis, button down, suspenders, pocket protector with pen, glasses with tape, etc. I hiked my pants really high and rolled them up, wore dorky socks with beat up converse. I didn't really have to be buy anything for this costume, though not sure if your LO will tolerate glasses on her face. We also did winnie the pooh theme... tigger, pooh and DD was piglet. We just did pink tutu and top with a white long sleeve and face paint (nose) and did cut out ears on a head band. Husbands outfit was tigger... he had an orange top and bottom and I cut out stripes from black masking tape.. so easy. Pooh outfit was also easy to hand make since it's just solid yellow and red. The internet is full of so many great ideas...
Peter Pan! LO and I just watched Tinkerbell and could totally DIY some matching tinker fairy costumes.
