There was a lot of talk this year about teal pumpkins and offering something other than candy for Halloween. So, did you see any teal pumpkins while out Trick or Treating this year?
I didn't see any. We did have some neighbors give out little trinkets and toys instead of candy, though. A couple of neighbors gave a choice of candy or toy.

None. I didn't even know it was a thing? Same with candy, didn't know people were going to hand out toys! LOL

i feel like this is just an internet thing. i obviously didn't go trick or treating as i don't have a little one but i didn't see any. and i work with a lady who has a son with severe nut allergies and she had never heard of it!

I saw one, but it was in a fb photo my friend posted, so not sure if that counts. I didn't walk the neighborhood though.

There were none on our street, but multiple people had separate bowls for non-nut candy and/or little toys in lieu of candy.

I didn't see any, but one of the houses we stopped at did have toy options! They just didn't have a teal pumpkin out!

nope, around our neighborhood kids trick or treat at local stores. everyone gave out candy

We put one out and handed out toys, but we didn't do a lot of TOTing. My sister said she saw a few. I think it is a really new thing and hasn't really caught on yet. I did see an article about it on yahoo, so hopefully it will get more mainstream over the next few years.

I didn't know this was a thing! Last year we did go to a house that gave out stickers/pencils instead of candy but this year, it was all just candy.

I didn't see any besides my own. I had a teal pumpkin as well as a poster on the door explaining the teal pumpkin and advising we had non-candy treats.
Not one person asked for non-candy.

No, and nobody asked us for something that wasn't candy. We didn't have both bowls out, so maybe they didn't see our sign.

I didn't, but we only went to a few homes. One family offered a nut-free bowl of candy.

I didn't go trick or treating this year but I know a FB friend of mine did the teal pumpkin.

Not in our area but we live in a tiny farming community, so I wasn't surprised.

None, but we gave kids a choice of candy or Halloween erasers (cats, pumpkins). A couple of kids chose the erasers and seemed really jazzed about them.

none and i live in a pretty granola-y neighborhood. this was the first year i've heard of the teal pumpkin though, so maybe a bigger response next year. there are definitely lots of kids with allergies here!

ope, but I didn't know about it until LONG after we'd bought our candy. I think most people felt the same way. Stow it away for next year!

We didn't see any and didn't put one out either...even though I always give a choice of toy or candy and would like to be as sensitive to allergies as possible. I'd heard of the teal pumpkin project, but ran out of time to paint one. I will do it next year. I think it's a great idea.

I heard about this on the radio and that was the first time I had heard of it. Didn't trick or treat so I don't know how that translated IRL but I can't really see it ever becoming something that you see a lot of.
