I did one of those craft walking stones from Michaels. It turned out cute.... But some of the plaster on the corner fell off while drying. My plan is to do it yearly so I can watch her hand grow and have them going across the yard.

I tried doing this with Crayola Air Dry Clay but I had a lot of trouble rolling out the clay and shaping it! I was really unhappy with the result and ended up going with a local company who does these.
If anyone has any tips on rolling out clay and cutting a shape out, I'd love to hear them! I would really like to do this maybe once a year until my LO turns 5 but that local company is too expensive to use for more than just 1!

It was really easy and turned out really cute. I'll try to get a picture up in a minute!

We got a print kit from BRU that was Carters. I haven't used it though.

@Mrs. Polish: thanks! I'll look into that too....there's a BRU and a Carter's within walking distance...perhaps we will take a morning stroll and check it out!

@Ginabean3: I was going to offer to send ours to you, but it's blue. Unless you don't care...you can have it.

Someone gave us a really easy kit from Hallmark. It was marshmallow clay and it only took a few minutes to do. I think it was under $15.

We had J's molds done professionally at 2 weeks old. It cost us $90 for everything and she came to our house I did his 1 year prints on a dollar store canvas.

@Mrsjets: I love your 1 year old prints. That's really tempting to do at my parent's house for his birthday.

@cascademom: thanks! I did it over a week. 1 print on 3 different canvases before bath time. This was the one that turned out best. I think doing them all on the same day would have been a challenge!

@Mrsjets: Ohh, that's good to know. I'll keep that in mind if we do a hand print/foot print thing.
