My older daughter didn’t show a preference until pretty late- she was 3 before I would call her a righty and at 4.5, she still uses both hands- like her teacher reports she uses scissors with her left. So I think maybe she is more ambidextrous than many?

My younger daughter has shown a preference for her right hand from early on, but not 13 weeks!

My older son has always seemed to prefer his left hand, at first with sucking his fingers and then as he got older with cutlery and crayons. He’s only 4 so I’m still not sure, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be a leftie. I think my younger son might be going the same way.

My first always preferred right since i can remember. I thought my second might be a lefty because for a long time he always ate with his left. But eventually he learned a spoon and a crayon with his right so perhaps it didn’t mean much.

My DD1 started showing a preference around 2.5 and is definitely a leftie. Dd2 is 2.5 now and I have noticed she is using mostly her left hand. So we might be 2/2 for lefties !
