What are you up to today? What are your weekend plans? 
I will be doing some shopping for our trip today, and then working an event this weekend so I will be pretty busy/tired come Sunday! I'm usually the one doing the solo parenting, so this will be a nice change for us!

This morning we're going to the library and will likely just do chores/play outside this afternoon. Saturday we're going to a local playground/farm with friends to pick pumpkins and play. But DH found out yesterday that he has to work so he won't get to go. Sunday we have church and then dinner at my parents. I generally try to grocery shop without the kids but I'm not seeing how that will be possible this weekend so we will probably try to squeeze in a quick trip tomorrow.
Is your trip this coming week or next?

@Mrs. Sunshine: Yay for pumpkin picking, we have to do that soon!
Not until the first week of November! But I don't want to overwhelm myself the week or two before, so getting everything squared away now. I have to buy some food/household items for the girls for my moms house too so money wise just trying to spread it all out!

@Bao: good idea! I just gave my mom 100 bucks when we went on a kid free trip a few weeks ago lol but we left on a Monday and I didn't start really getting ready until Friday afternoon and it was an insane weekend. I'm just not great at planning that far ahead! Hopefully your way will keep you from being less stressed going in.

@Mrs. Sunshine: I plan WAY too far ahead on everything lol. My mom didn't want to have to deal with going to the store with them (don't blame her!) so I'm just supposed to pick some things up.

There are a lot of fairs/festivals this weekend, so hoping the weather is good and we can hit some of them up!

stinker toddler gave me her cold. I'll probably crash earlier tonight than my normal already-sad bedtime, hahaha!

@Bao: we were only gone 4 days and I wa a pretty nervous but we had so much fun! Tobe honest, DH and I bicker a lot on the regular but we didn't say one negative thing the entire vacation. It was nice to rest and remember that I do actually like him.

@sorrycharlie: @brownepiano: feel better!! @Mrs. Sunshine: that's what I'm looking forward too, I honestly thing stress of kids is what causes us to bicker!@Boogs: 8 day trip but they will go to my moms the night before we leave and stay an extra night after we get home because we will get home late!

Dh sprained his ankle last night and has been in a lot of pain (/might be being kind of a baby about it...I'm trying to be sympathetic but I can't help but thinking that he's been mostly been panicky and thinking it's worse than it is...), so I think this weekend I'm basically going to be solo-parenting 
We hadn't made any firm plans but I was hoping to take lo to a pumpkin patch or Halloween/fall related activities at the zoo, but that's going to be do ambitious I think.
