My FIL's goal in life is to feed DS icing. He's been trying since DS was 6 weeks old. We told him to hold his horses until next June at his birthday party!

DH's aunt is famous for her "candy purse" and I have to keep DD away from her/it to avoid a sugary overload. I try to say it's allergies but in reality I just don't want her to have that junk! ha

DH's grandfather tried to give LO a taste of some icing off of his finger ...at 2 weeks old.

This scares me because Xander has a severe milk allergy... I hope no one would feed him anything without our permission...

Um... no one has ever been alone with her besides me and DH. Makes it easy I guess!

My brother's MIL gave his son treats all the time and she babysat several days a week. It was on ongoing struggle-- Can he have a cookie? No, we aren't giving him desserts. Oh, ok. Then just some biscotti. No, that's just Italian for cookie. Just, no.

i found out that daycare gives LO animal crackers (he's 10 months old), which i kinda think of as cookies. i didn't know they were going to do this. now that i know...i haven't decided whether to ask them to limit the amount or just let it go.

MIL gave LO Coca-Cola. And also chewed up food, spat it out, and then fed it to LO.
She's my favorite.

My mom gave D puffs before we had introduced grains, then my sister was like "Mom, did you ASK?" So my mom texted me, I said no, then an hour later she texted, "Full confession...we gave him some before Sister told me to ask." I was annoyed, but whatever. I was about to introduce them anyway.

I have a feeling we're going to have to watch him on Thanksgiving - Hubs' family will probably try to feed him all kinds of crap.

With my first I was like a hawk. But with my second I don't really mind. I guess I wasn't as worried about allergic reactions since we never had any with Wagon Jr., and I never really left her alone with anyone other than my mom, and my mom knows what's up. Sometimes people would let LMW lick things but I was a lot more laid back about it. But if people even mentioned giving Wagon Jr. things to try when he was an infant I FREAKED out. He didn't taste juice, cake, candy, or any kind of sweets until he was almost 2. Except for his first birthday, where we had to force his hand into his smash cake because he didn't understand what it was. Then I had to force his hand into his mouth to taste it. He didn't even really like it!

Nope. Thank goodness! Both of my kids have food allergies so it could be a big deal.

My Dad is OBCESSED with giving LO ice cream- he never has- but he wants too. Then I came home from work the other day and LO had something on his jammies- turns out DH gave him some vanilla ice cream to try?!?! I don't have to worry about other people- its DH!!! He is the worst.

D's grandmother gave him a chocolate chip cookie at 11 months old. I was annoyed (he hadn't had any sweets yet), but kept my mouth shut (so not worth the drama that would have ensued).
