I was reading a magazine while waiting for my car at the car wash the other day, and it stated that our air ducts should be cleaned every 2 years. One article noted that air ducts can accumulate 40 pounds of dust in a year! Now I'm looking into air duct cleaning companies.
So have you had your air ducts cleaned?

Yup, this year. And I can't say I feel an improvement lol. But I am glad I did cuz they found mold in the hvac unit and supposedly took care of that. Who knows for sure, right? Lol. And yeah, they said every 2 years. Sorta like getting an oil change. Just to keep it nice and running.

We live in a rental so they clean our air ducts every year. I saw when they were replacing the filter and it was NASTY! I was horrified!

We get our furnaces checked every year and ducts cleaned every 2-3 years. It really helps with my allergies. We have had 1-2 dogs at times so it helps with that.

Yes, there was a deal on Groupon a couple years ago so we did it. I noticed a decent improvement with the central air working better in our bedroom.

When we lived in a townhouse we were required to get them cleaned every two years. After seeing all the dirt/dust, we continued doing it once we moved into a house!

Yes and no. We took apart ducts accessible and cleaned it ourselves. But will be hiring professionals in the spring to clean the rest before we turn the ac on.
