I had heard about it, this letter is so sad.

So sad I had that same complication when I had my tonsils out as a child (bleeding into my stomach) but they treated it like a serious complication, rushed me back into surgery and cauterized it while I was still awake. I can't imagine that they would ignore it, that's terrible.

WOW! That is so sad that they did nothing! I couldnt imagine.
The scariest thing I have ever seen was after one of my students had her tonsils removed. She came back to school 4 days after for 2 hours as it was the last day of school. She started bleeding, a lot. She was choking on it, and then started passing clots. I knew this was good. It eventually stopped and I kept her leaning forward. We tried for 20 minutes to reach her parents who live down the street. I was 1 minute away from calling an ambulance. It was so scary! She was 10. Even routine is not routine! She ended up going back to doctor and having it re-cauterized.
