Oh no... hope it's nothing serious! I have a dog and, thankfully, so far she hasn't ingested anything and I hope she never does. I have a friend whose great dane/lab mix swallowed 1.5 tennis balls and got really ill and had to have surgery to have them removed. He was a big dog. He lived a long, long life to 12! That's super duper old for a dog his size!

She ate 3 brownies. She is small, 6 lb dog. I had To make her throw up and watch her. She was a bit hyper after that. She has sounded like she had something caught her in throat and it was kennel cough.

My dog seriously has an iron stomach... He has eaten : stuffed animals, stuffing, lip balm (a few), lindt chocolates (6), a full chicken (bones and all), cat poop and who knows what else. I have taken him to the ER vet a couple of times but he always passes everything fine. He is only 17 pounds and is now 12 years old.

Our dog use to like eating onsies. They were even tastier if they had breastmilk poop on them! As an appetizer he would eat baby socks.

My parents' dog at a kong and needed exploratory surgery to find it! (We didn't know at the time what he had eaten, just that he was sick)

Nope, but my cat did! A handful of hair elastics and one of those rubber support bracelets! $1800 later!

No toys but she did eat a 2lb roast once and was sick for days.....apparently dogs are not supposed to eat that much red meat because it can cause liver failure. Luckily, she was fine but it was a disastrous mess for a few days.

My dog once are a couple of rat poison pellets when she was a puppy. She was about the size of a rat at the time so it was really scary. I called poison control (yes, you can call them for dogs too!) and they told me to feed her hydrogen peroxide with a straw. It causes their stomach to foam and forces everything in the stomach out. They basically just puke out foam for a half hour or so.
Then we took her to an emergency vet and they gave her an IV of some sort.

@autumnlove: that's his favourite snack.. drives me nuts. he usually poops them out and sometimes barfs them up!! seriously he has eaten over 10 since we've had him!! I'm trying to be very careful now.. we don't let him any where near our bedroom without supervision! lol

She's eaten: plastic hangers (seriously), countless socks, a travel size bottle of conditioner, a package of birth control pills (packaging and pills), hilighters, chapsticks, and my personal favorite? A tampon.

Top on ours list is a non-edible nylabone! 12 hours of barium xrays later, his stomach has never been the same.

Soooo many things!! We forgot to take the garbage bag out last week when we left the house, sure enough it was everywhere when we got home that night. The next day she puked up a plastic bag! Seriously, that dog has 52 lives!

Nothing that serious- so I hope your dog is ok!

The worst was the bowl of fun size M&M's and sour patch kids that we had leftover from halloween. Pretty much just one of the 3 pugs got into it. I called the vet and they said the chocolate wasn't really an issue because it's M&M's "fake" chocolate whereas the real (good) chocolate has more of the cocoa that can hurt them. She was just a cracked out sugar addict for a day. Literally at my heels following me around, wouldn't sleep, kept jumping off the bed and walking in circles, lol. Once we knew she'd be ok, it was funny.

I hope your doggie is OK! My late great pomeranian mix ate an entire live bird once. We came home to find only a few feathers and what we believed to be a heart. ) She was sick for days. Eventually I actually think she ate rat poison and that is what killed her, but we can't be sure. RIP Puffy

A bag of yogurt covered raisins. That was a $1600 mistake.

My dog dug into my purse early this morning and ate a tootsie roll pop. I only found half the stick which means he ate the other half, the candy and the wrapper. Luckily there's hardly any chocolate in them and he's a big dog, but I took off my shift at work to keep on eye on him.

I'm so annoyed with him because he is a candy freak and left the granola bar alone but ate all the candy he could find in my bag. Good thing I don't keep a lot of chocolate in there!

An enormous box of expensive Mexican chocolate that my mom had brought home from a business trip. Not.cool. He was SO sick. He spent a couple nights at the vet's, from what I remember. I was in college at the time, so I'm fuzzy on the details.

Oh I have to add 2 to the list that I forgot about!!

An entire bar of Ivory soap. No idea why, but he loooooves my bar soap, so I have to hide it in our closet every time I get out of the shower.

Tampon, luckily unused. I left the vanity drawer open though, and it was shredded, and I only found a few pieces, along with the wrapper.
