Either with daycare or in school? LO is in preschool and will have her first field trip on Tuesday! I'm excited to join her, and she will be super excited to ride the bus. We are going to the pumpkin patch

Nope. They don't do field trips until they get into the pre-K class. I think it would be too much for the teachers to take 18 3 year olds on a field trip!

Yes, once they turn 4 they can do the Jr Camper program in the summer and they do 1 field trip per week - cant remember where the 1st place was they went to but DD was super excited that she rode a school bus!!

My DS has been on many and my DD on a few. They have a "big" trip once a month and go to places like the zoo, a forest in the city, other city parks, the planetarium, etc. In the summer, they go to the beach once a week. And every week they go somewhere nearby, usually walking or on public transit. I think it's great that they have so many different activities outside of the daycare center, and they often take the little ones (1-3 yos).

yes! his preschool class (8 kids) went to a farm this summer. I had to sign a permission slip and pack him a bag. Made me realize he is growing up too fast! I was also bummed that I couldn't go as a parent volunteer but i definitely will in the future.
