We did another painful bout of sleep training for our LO at 10 mos and now he goes nuts whenever he's near his crib or esp. whenever I need to put him down there for few minutes to do some errands around the house. Anyone else's LO fear his crib after sleep training and did they get over it?

@Mrsbells: he was perfectly trained at 5 mos then we took a fateful trip then he regressed. We stopped sleep training from 6-10 mos then recently restarted.

@Clementine: Oh I see... that doesnt sound like fun. we never sleep trained so I dont have much advice. Hopefully someone else with more experience will chime in

We made her crib fun by putting her in it and distracting her with peek-a-boo at random times during the day so that she could associate it with a pleasant experience.

LO never really hated hanging out there, but would scream immediately upon waking wanting to get out. I really wanted her to be able to occupy herself there for times that I can't get her out immediately. Recently I've made it a point to put her in there with some toys while I'm doing chores in and around her room. I leave her lovey and a small toy in her crib and now she will usually play independently for a bit before I go get her.
