We just bought a new coffee maker after Christmas, but at the time DH was the only one drinking coffee so we got a 12c drip maker. I have started drinking one cup of coffee every morning and he is only drinking coffee at work. Now I want a Keurig (I actually wanted one when we bought the other pot but couldn't justify it since at the time I wasn't drinking coffee). Would you do it?

I may not be helping curb the desire but... OMG. I LOVE our Keurig. It has actually saved us a ton of money because we got the refillable K-cup and use our cheap coffee to make just the right amount. No more wasting coffee. And ours is programmable so right when DH goes downstairs in the morning, his cup is already made and ready to go! LOVE IT! It also brews tea.... but that you have to buy the cups for. Still yummy!

I just bought myself a dyson because it was on sale. I justified it by saying DD will crawl soon and we have a cat a dog. Mind you it still in the box LOL

Don't think DH is going to be happy but I don't care, I went ahead and bought one. I'm so excited for it to arrive next week.

@purrpletulips: good for you! Here's a way to justify it - you're wasting a bunch of coffee with the big pot since you only drink one cup. Haha I guess that's sort of a stretch, but I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of my keurig!

If it makes you feel better, we use our Keurig to heat bottles and returned our bottle warmer...so it's a double duty machine!
I did keep my 12 cup coffee maker for when we have company.

I got a Keurig, because now it's easier to find that coffee in supermarkets. I didn't need it at all, because I already owned a Tassimo. Then I got the Keurig and it didn't compare at all to the Tassimo, so now I don't use it at all and I still use the Tassimo and go out of my way to Bed Bath and Beyond to get the coffee pods.
I'm ridiculous. And my DH loves to point out the "wasted" Kuerig.

Love our kuerig we keep a big coffee maker for when we have lots of people over.
And of course I've bought stuff just because I wanted it! Doesn't everyone?

I love my Kuerig! I just saw at target that they have Snapple lemon and peach iced tea cups. And lemonade cups! I'm going to get the Snapple ones and see how they taste.

My parents have a Keurig and I love not having to make a whole pot whenever I'm at their house. They get lots of different yummy flavors so I'm hooked on them. However, my DH would probably be like your DH and not see why we need it. Especially since we have a perfectly good coffee maker. It'll make life a little easier though so kudos for the splurge!
I don't get to splurge often and when it does it's usually because the price is knocked down. And honestly, 85% of the time I run it by DH first after come up with a rational argument - I mean explanation - of why we need it. He's our only income so I feel guilty getting myself much of anything and certainly not something as wonderful as a Keurig.
Also, I love our keurig! It's so convenient.
