We rode horses by the ocean in Mexico.
It was frightening but fun!

Neat!
I did as a kid, but not recently. We have a farm right down the street- so hopefully LO will get to ride when she's older.

I was sent to a horse farm for camp when I was young, and its cemented a horse-phobia in me. I was a tiny, scrawny kid and they put me on the biggest horse. As I was riding, he bumped into an electric fence and freaked out.
Not going near a horse again.

I grew up riding horses... I started in 3rd grade and then got my own horse in 7th grade.
I traveled and showed them until I was 18.

@Mrsdaredevil: That's so cool!!
I had a friend who had horses when I was in elementary school, so I got to ride some. I also took lessons for a few summers but haven't ridden in a few years.

I went through a horse phase in middle school. A lady my dad worked with had horses so he took me there one day. I rode them once and then my horse phase was over haha
I also rode horses on a youth group trip in the mountains.

Yup. Maybe 15 times in my life? I always wanted to ride when I was younger but I was a dancer and that took up almost all of my after school time.

I have ... Not a huge fan, mainly because I once got bitten by one of the other horses on a ride!

Yes. My grandfather rode Quarter Horses (in rodeos, etc) and I rode with him. And in college I worked at a summer camp where I taught riding lessons.

My parents owned a horse farm when I was young. After they divorced they both continued to own horses. I've shown before, and still ride as often as I can when I visit my dad. He just got a second horse, after only have 1 for the last 3 years, so we can finally ride together again.
I keep trying to get my in laws to let me put a horse in their pasture, but so far they won't let me. They have a dairy farm, so I don't quite get it, but maybe one day if DS is interested in horses.

Only once, very recently when we were on vacation. Turns out I am highly allergic to them! Sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes and hives!

I used to ride competively! I did "hunter jumper" which is just jumps that gradually get higher and higher, so the highest I did was a little over 4 feet. We always did pack trips into the mountains and would stay for a week with them and do trail rides out of camp everyday. It was awesome when I was finally allowed to lead a pack string in!
We owned horses the whole time I was growing up until my dad got cancer, and we had to sell them when I was about 21 My in-laws have horses though, and we have been talking about getting one and keeping it with theirs!!!!!

Any chance that I can, love it! I used to ride a lot growing up. Most recently was a year ago in Grand Turk on a cruise for our first anniversary. Took me 9 years to get my husband on a horse

My parents are ranchers, so I grew up in the country, and we rode horses all the time. We're actually going out to the ranch tonight to help, so horses will definitely be on the agenda.
