Long story short (because I did write a long story and just now made it short) I scratched my cornea. The Dr. made it seem like it was no big deal and that I was overreacting.

Guys, this thing hurts so bad I can barely open my eye it hurts so bad and most of the time I am so light sensitive that when I do I have to wear sunglasses inside just to be able to be kinda okay. I called into work. last night because I just could't bear it. It is 3 am and I am still in pain. Ugh... I have taken some leftover hydrocodone from her birth (I knew I saved those for a reason!) but somehow it didn't help my eye much. (WTF? Is my eye the only part of me that is immune to good pain meds?!) I can't wear contacts (duh) and my glasses are broken (Thanks DD!) so I have no idea how I am going to work tonight.(I work in a jail so not being able to see is a no-go and the only other two places I can work are watching cameras all night which I can't see without glasses or sitting at a desk working with the public.) Not to mention the fact that I have to wear sunglasses all the time. How professional! Am I crazy for wanting to avoid work tonight too?

Have you ever scratched your cornea? Am I just being a big baby thinking this sh*t effing hurts!
