I cut off a lot of my hair today! It had grown to below my boobs, and I chopped it off to collarbone length. Feels soooo much better!
Have you made any changes lately?

I cut my hair and colored it! I'm happy with how it turned out. It's the style I always seem to revert back to. Just past the shoulder, curled and balayage/ombré style

@Mrs. Pen: I totally meant to ask my stylist about balayage today, and forgot. I'd never even heard of it until not long ago on HB! I really like the look!

@mrsjyw: I get bored too! I used to dye my hair all of the colours, but I've been pretty tame in recent years.

@PermaStudent: youre tempting me to do a major chop! I did red and ombré last year....not sure what's left!

Wow! It's so hard to lop off a ton of hair, at least for me.
I've been wearing makeup and it feels good. It also makes me feel old.

@mrsjyw: I feel a lot better after the chop. Is your hair long?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
@PermaStudent: mid boob rt now. Thick and long. I've done two or three major chops in the last cpl years....itching for another!
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@PermaStudent: because now I feel like I need to wear it vs wearing it for fun. I'm closer to 40 than 30.

@mrsjyw: ah so you have lots to play with!
@mediagirl: ah, gotcha. 40 is the new 20!

@PermaStudent: Ooh! Excited to see!
I got bangs before I went back to work, and actually started wearing makeup.
@Mrs. Pen: Your hair looks fantastic - I saw it on IG!

This is sort of different but I've started waxing my legs! I've been going for a bikini wax for 4 years or so, and finally made the leap to upper half of leg two months ago. I don't think I'll ever go back to the razor, and I can't wait for fall and winter to try the lower leg too!
(hope this wasn't a totally gross addition to a cute thread )

@knittylady: no way, that's exactly the kind of thing I meant! I really ought to try waxing sometime... Shaving is overrated, I think.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: posted it on IG
@Mrs. Pen: you're leaving me hanging!
Yay I'm a nectarine! Haha

Nope, I'm totally boring and have had basically the same hair cut/color and make up routine for years.

I got BANGS! It was a big change as I haven't had bangs since I was 4. I'm slowly getting used to them but boy are they a lot of work!

I chopped it from my shoulders to a very short bob this spring. It's grown back to my shoulders but I'm itching to cut it off again. I stopped coloring it a year ago but really don't dig my natural color. My mom let me color it at 12 so I had ever really seen my natural adult hair color. I think there was a reason she let me kill the mouse brown so young. Now if I could only figure out which color I want.

@charmed: hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
@Ms.Badger: I love bangs. Love them - but they just don't work for me! I'm glad you can rock them, even if they are a pain!
@Mrs. Detour: try them all until you find one that you love! That's my general motto I've been colouring my hair since I was really young, too. I don't even really know what my natural colour is anymore.

I'm putting some big ole funky blonde chunks in my bright red hair next weekend! Super excited.

I just chopped my hair off a few days ago (shaved on the sides and a few inches on top ) and tried to dye it red. Well, it was red on the box. In real life it came out kind of...orange? I washed my hair three times abd it settled into a liveable color but I was convinced I was going to have to bite the bullet and redye it. Everyone swears they love it and DH and my parents are the ones who convinced me not to redye it. I just look really punk rock...

@loveisstrange: That sounds like it will be fun! I used to be a lot more brave with my hair and rocked a red similar to yours.
I went back to being blonde-ish a few weeks ago after a year of mousey brown. I am so much happier with my new color.

I dyed my hair red! I've been feeling so blah lately. No time for myself between LO and baby 2 on the way so I made the leap and dyed it bright red! Feel so much better. Plus, how many more years can I do fun colors before I'm too old?!

This thread inspired me. I have been texting my hairdresser/friend. Looks like I getting ombré.
pineapple / 12234 posts
No but I desperately need to get in for a cut/color. Thinking a medium/darker brown with a warm balayage (not red but maybe some lighter brown).
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
Oh, fun thread! Love this kind of thing.
I rarely change my hair, so I've made a few changes in my wardrobe. I've basically gotten rid of all the shoes that hurt my feet and I upgraded my bras.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Ooo fun! My last hair cut is shorter than usual but I can never take the plunge and go above shoulder!
I don't think I have made any significant changes to my looks in a long time haha.. I play it pretty safe usually!
