    @SweetiePie: cute! I'm planning on doing a similar thing, large green t shirt, green tights, diy felt hat, rope or belt, and I bought moccasin booties for fall and it'll double for her costume. I think I'm just going to get a dog hat for DD2 for nana

    Our little man will be just shy of five months on Halloween. I just started putting together a gumball machine costume for him to wear while we hand out candy. I can't wait to see him in it!

    All of these costumes are so cute! I am going to dress my one year old girl as Snow White. I'm debating a cheap costume from Target versus a beautiful costume from etsy a little more than twice the cost of the target one. Eek! I know which one I want, just not sure which one I will get.

    @agold: At this point, my older daughter wears costumes as dress up clothes all the time, so I don't mind spending a little more since it will be used year round. But at 1, I'd prob be inclined to go cheap and buy extra dress up clothes for next year. But.... her first real Halloween! I see your dilemma!

    Also, as the OP- I've since bought the older one's moana costume, and am working on the accessories. I'm half DIYing the 1 year olds baby Moana costume. And want to turn our radio flyer wagon into a boat 😄

    I asked DD (26 months) and she wants to be a cookie. Not Cookie Monster. Just a cookie. 🤔

    @SweetiePie: we ❤️ Blippi in our house. I was thinking it would be perfect for my nearly 3 year old but she wants to be a cupcake.

    DD wants to be "Madelines" with her sister and all of her friends. She is desperate to get everyone to walk in two straight lines with her whilst trick or treating 😂😂😂. We also have an adorable bee costume she got in a bag of hand me downs, and her baby sister will be a ladybug if she goes with that one.

    What's everyone giving out this year, if you're having trick or treaters? Do you go the route with candy, or something else?

    @LindsayInNY: What is up with kids that age?!?! Last year I was all set with a dragon costume for B when he told me he was going to be a banana.

    @looch: We try to give out non-candy (Teal Pumpkin) since our kids have food allergies. This year, I'm doing these:

    @looch: Yeah! We don't get a ton of trick-or-treaters at our house, so 24 sets is perfect for us.

    @looch: I plan on doing regular candy, but same as last year where I got some items to give out if anyone had allergies. I got little bracelet and necklace sets and matchbox cars. Anyone can take whatever they want. Last year no one took the non-candy items though! So I gave the cars to my son and the necklaces/bracelets to my niece for dressup.

    @looch: these are what I got and I mixed them in a bowl so kids could take whatever they liked.

    @looch: I picked up Halloween play-doh from Costco. There are 80 in a set, which should be plenty since we don't get a lot of trick-or-treaters. Anything left over will be well utilized by my kids.

    DD (2 yrs old) saw an Elsa dress at Target and said she wanted "Welsa". It was $35 I ordered her one that looks just like it off Amazon for $16! We're going to Mickeys Halloween party at Disneyland on Friday the 13th so it should be lots of fun! I think I'm more excited than she is 😋

    For our Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy costumes, I made three wigs, a pinafore, and two bonnets this weekend. I was going to make myself a pinafore too but I might just be over it

    DD's first halloween she wore a skeleton sleeper, last year she was a punk rocker (wore a tutu and denim jacket she already had, spiked her hair). This year is the first year I am making her costume. It might be the last. But OH loves the family's costumes having a theme now. Oy vey.

    @Ajsmommy: ooh I love that!

    We have changed a little- 4 year old is still Moana. 21 month old refused to put on the baby Moana costume so now I am making her a hei hei costume instead. She says hei hei really adorably so it's perfect. I'm going to be gramma tala and DH is TBD.
