I've started taking an online class on databases... it's pretty interesting. You can make the teacher speak 20% or 50% faster. Wish I could use this feature in real life in school... or heck, even in Real Life!
After you watch each video, you can take a quiz... you get up to 100 chances to take the quiz (although it changes each time you take it). That's one of my favorite parts.

I haven't. A lot of my friends did in college but they ended up not doing so well because it's easier to slack off when you don't ever see your teacher. Eventually I might try it though because I need one more class to become a licensed therapist, but it'll wait until my lo grows up. A little.

I've done these short courses for FSA registration. There wasn't any teacher talking, just slides, and then you take quizzes.

I've taken several, through URI. They were all based off of the Sakai forums though - so we had to keep up with reading and submit assignments but certain dates.

I've taken a LOT of online classes which helped me graduate college in 3 years. My favorite was online PE. Yes, really. PE. Still not quite sure how that one worked out but I got an A so I'm happy. I found the classes to be really, really easy as long as I set aside one day a week to be my online class day and do the tests/homework. Sometimes classes would require a midweek discussion or something and those were a major pain to remember but it always worked out. By the end of the first class I got really smart and just opened another tab on my browser during the tests/quizzes and looked up all the answers. Plus, they were all open book (even when they weren't supposed to be).

I took several in college. They wound up being a lot more work than a traditional college class. But I enjoyed them!

I've taken several online courses, and I love the convenience of them! A few of mine required me to drive out to the university to take quizzes and exams, but that still beats driving out a few times a week.

I'm taking online classes right now to (finally) finish up my degree. I'm working on my finals right now. It is more difficult than in person, but it is more convenient for me at this point in my life.

@Banana: Yup! I had to create some workout plans and other random assignments. They never said I had to FOLLOW the workout plans, just create them.

Yeah, I took a bunch of online courses for my master's program. It's definitely different than the traditional in class courses. I need the classmate and teacher interaction. It's also requires you to be more motivated because you have to do everything on your own. As an undergrad, I needed the study groups to help me with the more difficult concepts. I'm probably going to put my master's program on hold and find a university where I can take on-site classes. I heard it great for some people but not for me.
