I live exactly one mile from the beach in San Diego, so yes many many times. Although getting in it isnt my fave thing to do.

I have seen both Altlantic and Pacific, but I did not see/touch an ocean until I was 14 years old. Live in Nebraska, so we are really far away from the ocen, have to fly to get to it.

i now live on a barrier island in the northeast, and previously never lived more than a 30 minute drive to the beach - it never occurred to me growing up that people didn't see the ocean often

its rainy and miserable here today, too - i'm looking for bathing suits online to make me feel better

I have lived most of my life a 5 minute drive to the beach. Always seems a foreign concept when people say they didn't see the ocean til their 20s!

I grew up in Seattle and now live on the cocast of Maine, so yup, touched both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. I can’t imagine ever living far inland from the coast.

I'm in NYC, so I grew up going to the beach every summer. I didn't see the Pacific for the first time until about 3 1/2 years ago.

I'm lucky enough to have lived 10 minutes from a very beautiful beach my whole life. And we actually have beach weather still, no winter yet this year!

I've lived almost my entire life in the midwest, but I've been to the ocean quite a few times. I've only been in the Pacific Ocean once though (and I really just dipped my toes in since it was January).

I've never lived more than 3 hours from the coast so I've been many times. I lived in CA for 5 years growing up as well and we would always go to the beaches out there. I need to see/touch the ocean at LEAST once a year.

Many times! We vacationed on the NJ coast for most of my childhood, and I go to Florida several times a year.

Yes, I have. I lived about 2 hours from the beach growing up so we would go to the beach at least one during the summer. I have touched both east and west coast oceans.

Yep. Atlantic, Pacific, Adriatic, Mediterranean, Gulf of Mexico...

Yup. I am so glad we lived 2hrs from the beach as a kid. Now both my parents and in-laws live at the beach, so we have easy access to it. I hope we get to take our lo to see the Pacific someday!
