They're so pretty and taste so yummy too! Like mini sweet plums.
Way better than black/red cherries imo!
OH! and they don't stain my LO's clothes!

I live in Seattle and I haven't had them yet. Is that bad? I'm a cheapo and only get cherries when they go on sale. Bing cherries are about $2 a pound while rainier cherries are $4 a pound.

Love them!! But I only buy them on sale.
@bluestriped bee: $4 a lb is actually pretty good! They're like $6.00 for a pint right now where I am.

Never tried them, but I love plums, so I might have to give them a try!

Love them! But like bluestriped bee, I tend to just get the bing cherries because they're cheaper. I'm obsessed with cherries lately. I get a new bag before the current bag runs out to make sure I always have cherries in the fridge.

I actually love all cherries. We get some good ones up here in Seattle.
Those of you near a Whole Foods - cherries are on sale today only for $1.99 a lb. Not sure if it is for all varieties though.

@bree72: I actually heard about places you can pick your own cherries. It's about 3 hours away and they had all cherries (including rainier) for $1.50 a pound!!! But you had to pick them this weekend because we are forecasted to get some very warm weather. I have friends coming from our of town so I can't go.

I'm afraid to try them since they 're expensive!
We just picked 4 buckets of Bing cherries off our trees, then my boss brought me a 2lb bag of Bings from Hoodriver, Or. I need to invest in a cherry pitter!

they are yummy but sweethearts are my favourite. We live in cherry country so I get to try lots! And we get tons of free cherries (although, sadly not usually sweethearts) if there's a storm.

@chopsuey119: Oh, I just had some last weekend. It was on sale at the store for $3 a pound. It was good!
But I'll settle for any of of cherry. Maybe if I find them again for $3, I'll get them.

I have a rainier and a bing cherry tree in my Seattle yard. They are completely delicious, but I always have to fight birds/squirrels for them!
