People stop and stare and try to look at the baby constantly. Mostly middle-aged/old ladies. Lol.
Does this happen to you?

It stopped after she became a toddler. They're always looking at her baby cousin instead. I feel kind of bad for LO. I know people are obsessed with babies.... but she's cute too!

Baby's not here yet, but people stare at me and my belly all the time. Getting to the point of being uncomfortable (I'm 37 weeks). I don't mind a nice comment here or there but don't just stare! (and please do NOT say I look miserable!)

All. The. Time. The grocery store is the worst.
I feel bad because I'm always rushing through the grocery and they always want to ask 1,000 questions!
Boy or girl? (Even though lo is always decked out in very obviously boy stuff)
How old? (Which always brings about this whole discussion of him being a preemie, though I've started lying and he's started catching up so we don't get this AS much as we used to)
What's his name?
And then sometimes they even launch into discussions of their kids/grandkids lol!

Haha. We used to live in asia and they LOVE babies there. At restaurants, the wait staff would take him and walk him around the restaurant to let us finish our meal. A group of middle aged women stopped us at the airport once to take a picture with them. I had my son in the ergo.

Yep! But I love people telling me how beautiful she is. Now leaving the doctors office with her screaming from shots I don't like people staring.

My LO was a celebrity as a baby but not so much now as a toddler. People love to comment and ask questions.

@artbee: @yin: yeah, I feel sad when people only comment about the baby when my older one is there. It happens all the time. I usually try and say something nice to my older one when that happens.

I always said I felt like a puppeteer. DS was my little muppet and no one really noticed I was around too, lol

I've had a few old ladies stop me in the grocery store to talk to lo. Once it was horrible though because lo was in serious stranger anxiety mode and one lady got in her face and lo freaked out! Then we were stared at because lo was distraught.

@septemberlove: omg, we have the preemie issue too! If I say 5 months they say "she's tiny" and theni have to explain she was 2 months early...next time I'm just going to say she's 7 and see what happens.

@septemberlove: Yep, those are the exact questions I get in that exact order! Usually followed by, "Is this your first?" I thought people asked a lot of questions when you had a pregnant belly, but it's a whole different story when there's a baby they can actually see!

All the time. My LO is always very alert when we're out so people aren't scared of waking him and will always ask questions. A lady started to grab his feet at a restaurant a couple of weeks ago until DH reached out to stop her and said 'Careful. He bites!' lol
