Were you surprised to hear Penumbra's true reason for going to the library?

I was, actually! I thought that Clay's use of technology angered Penumbra, which is why he closed the bookstore. I thought maybe Penumbra was going there to discuss some sort of punishment for him, haha.

What do you think of the idea of writing a Codex Vitae with all of the knowledge that you'd acquired throughout your life?

I think it's a neat idea, although my life is so unremarkable that I doubt anything useful to others could be found there. I do like the idea of reading the Codex Vitae of great thinkers past and present, though.

I was! As an English teacher we're often asked on our views on technology and I am for whatever makes it more accessible for students to devour literature

What do you think of the idea of writing a Codex Vitae with all of the knowledge that you'd acquired throughout your life?

I think some of us are anyway, as we venture further into the blogging world. The blog that my mother wrote over her four year battle with cancer is now her own little codex vitae. Incomplete, sure, but it exists.

Oh yeah - I was fully expecting him to be mad and ashamed! I'm still a little surprised that he didn't say anything before he left. Why couldn't he have said "FYI, I'm going to go see if I can approve some changes, see you in a few" ?!

What do you think of the idea of writing a Codex Vitae with all of the knowledge that you'd acquired throughout your life?

It'd be awfully short and boring! Hahaha. At first thought, that's what I think, that I haven't done much with my life. But, then when I think about it some more, I realize that my journey has been unique to me, and something I cherish very much. It isn't exciting and full of adventure or great accomplishments, but it has been wonderful

@dc yoga bee: Oh sure, I have accomplishments, just no grand book-decoding-accomplishments! Haha. I think successfully raising a child will be a huge accomplishment - especially if we all survive the teenage years

I think my Codex Vitae would be long, but full of utterly random information. Hopefully it would inspire people to do or be more.
