@locavore_mama: It's just a regular paper book. It says it has 39 holds but I've put books on hold with 100+ holds and it wasn't an issue.

@Bao: ohhhh bummer! Maybe you can find it used for a few bucks online if it does end up being the book?

@Bao: I might be doing the same honestly bc the wait for Visitation Street at my library ebook version is pretty long!

@Bao: yup, it's fairly new. Do you have a ebook? I have library location really close to me that has the physical book but I also am on the wait list for the ebook. If you have a ereader we can figure out a way for you to use my ebook rental?

@locavore_mama: I do not, I'm not up with the times but thank you! I'm thinking of going to the library to ask why I can't request it. Maybe they can help.

@Bao: oh maybe you have maxed out the number of books you can request? I know my library has a limit on how many books I can request at one time.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@locavore_mama: I have no requests! It will let me request others though...(even though I didn't yet), maybe it's because my library doesn't have a copy? It's a pretty small library. However, they share with other branches so I'm stumped.

Voted for #1 - I think it would be kinda cool to read a spookier book in October.

@lovehoneybee: not even the first one?! Lame! Do you have a E reader?

I'm in if its not to late to join! Good.book choices! I can't decide between one or two.

@locavore_mama: I do, but I usually only read in the tub so I'd prefer waiting and getting a physical copy. I don't mind buying books (*ahem*mildaddiction*ahem*), just thought I'd try to take advantage of my (terribly small and understocked) library for once. The last one is on sale at Amazon for $3.40 Prime shipped, so I went ahead and ordered it. I'd like to read it even if it isn't chosen. And I'll poke around and look for the other two on some of the bargain book sites. Or take a trip out to the big awesome used bookstore in Harrisburg. I'm always down for a bookstore trip.

I'm in !! They all sound good to me but I think I will vote 1!
I'm a dummy . Do we start reading in Oct or are we supposed to be finished by then ?
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
@coacheswife123: I think it would start in October and you would read it through the month.

I think it's pretty apparent which book is winning! But I'll leave it up till tomorrow anyway.
In the other thread we were saying discussion twice a month. Do we want to do the second and fourth week? Posting the question for discussion Sunday or Monday? 2nd week so people have time to read it. But then would the fourth week be for discussing the conclusion? Almost feels like we might need a weekly discussion the more I think about it?
Also do we want one monthly discussion thread or two(one per question )?
And I think the "question" is just to open up the forum but we should still be able to discuss anything else we wanted pertaining to the book?

Last chance to cast your vote! Polling will end in a bit.

@locavore_mama: are you going to close this soon? I'm so bummed I can't participate because I can't get the book! I can't spend $17 on it either I couldn't find it on any bargain sites for reasonable.
