Saturday night we're going out to dinner for my birthday. I went to buy a new dress today because everything I own is either in storage or doesn't fit. I found this dress that fit me and I liked it. The problem is, I have no flippin clue what shoes or jewelry to wear with it. Help me! And does the dress even looks good? I haven't been dress shopping for 2 years!

Dress is great. Love green. You look fit and slim in the dress!! I'd skip a necklace. Earrings and bracelet should be fine. Brown, tan or nude wedges.

I would do nude, metallic (gold), or black pumps/peep toes/strappy sandals . . . and probably a gold cuff/bangles and drop earrings, or a cocktail ring and drop earrings . . . and maybe a belt? (I am liking animal print with this green.) Here are a few examples . . .

I love that color. And yes, it looks great! If you have them, I'd pick some fuchsia heels/sandals. (I'm a bit impractical with shoe colors, but I have never once regretted a brightly colored pair!) I like the necklace you've got on, but you don't need one with a halter neckline. Something simple (or none) is best for a halter, in my opinion. I'd go minimalist on the jewelry.

Orrrr, you could go with nude heels and understated earrings (like basic studs or hoops) and throw in a pop of color (like purple, turquoise, or yellow) with a bag.

I'm not so good at the accessories thing - but that dress is great! Love it! I agree on the nude/tan shoes thing though - I think they could be great. Turquoise jewellery could also be fun!

Okay, sorry ladies but the dress is on a hanger. I've taken my bra and makeup off which translates into: no pictures. which shoes? The place we are going to is nice (expensive) but it's got live jazz so I'm assuming that it's somewhat casual. Anything is "dressy" to us though, haha! Saturday is usually spent at target.

I love that dress!!!! Ditto on the nude heels/pumps, make your legs look extra long:). And I may be cray but I love to put a bold color with kelly green- just to make it extra fun...I'd put turquoise or coral earrings and a bracelet to add some funk, or you could do a big dangly gold earring:)

Okay so the accessorizing changed a bit when I realized (at the last minute!) that mu jewelry box was in our storage unit. Awesome. The patent peep toes were a success, I didn't fall! we had SUCH a great time. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours, there was a live jazz band, the wait staff never made us feel like we needed to hurry up and get out. The food was phenomenal. It was perfect!
