Found out 100% yesterday that I was miscarrying at 7weeks. The nurse called me today and said my hcg levels were "high" at 450 and I needed to come back in tomorrow. She made an off handed comment about it "going one of two ways". I'm fairly certain those two ways are mc or my dating was wrong (it's not).
Anyone else have hcg on the higher side and how long did it take to drop? The thought of testing to 0 seems miserable to me.

Wait, so you mean she considered 450 being "high" at 7 weeks? That seems off. Or did you mean that you WERE high, and then it dropped to 450?

@leighleigh She said 400 was high, which it isn't- at least at 7weeks! That's why I'm so confused. I think they expected my levels to be lower as ultrasound showed empty uterus.
I'm glad someone else is baffled too. I thought I was just losing it.

Yeah, 450 wouldn't be high at all, so I'm confused as well. Unfortunately when I miscarried at 9.5 weeks I had to test down to zero, but if you're starting that low I can't imagine it would take long. I'm very sorry for your loss.

@Torchwood: thank you! That's what I was worried about- them saying high and testing to 0 made me think I would be doing this for weeks. I can handle 10days or whatever.

@LibbyLou: yea that's definitely weird. maybe its just taking a while for your hcg levels to drop back down. so sorry for your loss--here's to next cycle for you

@LibbyLou: when I had my mc at 7 weeks I had found out at 6 that my number was 330 and was not doubling. It took 8 days to start on my own. I also had a d&c scheduled for that day.

Sorry for your loss. I'm currently going through this as well. I started miscarrying naturally at 7 weeks on 6/23 (with a beta of 2500) and it has been steadily dropping each week. Two weeks later and I'm at an hcg level of 8. I'm hoping by the third week, I'll be back to an hcg level of 0. I've been debating whether I actually need to go in next week for yet another beta test as I'm practically back down to zero.
