We're travelling by plane in 2 weeks and I need to get a pair of headphones for my toddler. She has a large head for a 2 year old (90th percentile). I need something she can wear to watch movies on the plane and in the car.

We got these headphones for our kids recently, and love them! They're not "kid specific" headphones, but have really good sound quality and were perfect for their heads - http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Lightweight-On-Ear-Headphones-White/dp/B00T8JBREW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1464915464&sr=8-3&keywords=amazonbasics+headphones - the best part is we can use them too. We just made sure we adjusted the sound levels before putting it on them, and it's great bc they're loud enough to override the white noise on airplanes. Our other ones were way too weak even at the highest sound levels, and you could hardly hear over white noise.
Eta: I also like that they fold flat, and comes with a storage bag, making them easy to store in my carry-on bag w/o taking up too much space.

My 5.5 year old has had them for two years and still going strong.

So one thing we learned is that some kids headphones have volume control so they don't turn it up too loud and hurt their ears. However, on a loud plane, my daughter couldn't hear her iPad!

We have these for DD and she seems to like them: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Q3I690I/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1464920150&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=toddler+headphones&dpPl=1&dpID=4165wuO3USL&ref=plSrch. You can string multiple sets together if you have 2+ kids watching the same video, too.

The 5 dollar ones in the dollar spot at Target. They come in neon colors and adjust to quite small.

We used the fleece headband ones when we flew across the country with my 21 month old a few days ago and they worked well! I like that she can lay her head in my lap when watching the iPad and they don't hurt her ears since they lay flat.
