I know there was a thread talking about a book exchange a few weeks back, but it fizzled out a little.
Is anyone interested? We could set up a swap on Elfster, similar to Christmas or Valentine's Day, and everyone could exchange a kid's book! New or used, we can hammer out the details if people are interested.
What do you think?

@swedishfish: I just edited the description. Its probably good if people make a wishlist, or even just post here the age of their LO or the topic/type of book they'd like.
We can do that for the adult exchange as well: if you love or hate a certain genre, or don't read nonfiction, etc...post away! Or create a wishlist on Elfster.

So the Elfster adult book exchange would be new books, right?
When I first read the title of this thread, I thought it was a used book exchange. I have some books in my collection that I wouldn't mind passing it along to someone who wants to read it. I wouldn't want it back or anything. Just sharing the book so others could read it. Instead of collecting dust on my bookshelf.

I have duplicate books for LO that aren't new, but have barely been used. I also have a lot of used books of my own that I'd love to pass on... I buy a lot of my books used as it is!

I do not have any duplicate books for children (believe it or not lol). So I would definitely be buying.
For adults, I'm not sure to be honest - I recently went NUTS spring cleaning and donated a ton - ton - of stuff. Including all the books I didn't want..the ones I still have, I want to keep, lol. So that may have to be new, too..

I'm thinking, based on the poll, we will do NEW kids books and USED adult books. That being said, if you have a gently used kids book that's a duplicate, I don't see that being a problem. I will update the Elfster descriptions.
