DD was diagnosed with atopic eczema. It started a few days ago, and now it's EVERYWHERE! It's killing me to see her crying, trying to scratch her face and head. It's gotten a little better today compared to yesterday, but it's still so bad. I don't know what to do and how to deal with this!

We went to the doctor today and I had to convince her to give me some hydrocortisone. What's OTC in the States requires an Rx here and according to the doctor, it's only prescribed to children over 2 (DD is 6 mo). I was told to only use it on her body and not on her face.

I've eliminated anything new in her routine and went back to using an old formula, but it still hasn't helped. They think that her scratching an old rash trigger it - it got infected (although it wasn't so obvious to me at the time). It's torture seeing her suffer and not be able to make it go away.

For those that battled atopic eczema, how did you cope? Any and all tips are appreciated!
