I need name ideas. I am due in less than two weeks and I am team green. DH and I were originally considering these girl names: Penelope, Adela, Adeline, Adelyn, Adelaide, Vivienne, Felicity, and Arabella. We decided on Audrey out of nowhere last weekend but now I'm unsure about any of the options. Hit me with your girl names!

I'm partial to Amelia.
This may be hard to do, but take your list of names with you and wait until you meet your baby. Perhaps the right name will jump off the list...or not even be one you've been considering.

When I'm having trouble deciding on something, I decide between two at a time. I think your list is a little long for the delivery room, so maybe try and narrow it down to 2? Ie, choose between Penelope & Adela, then winner & Adeline, etc. Hope that helps!

@swedishfish: My husband and I were also team green and we were really set on our girl name but COULD NOT agree on a boy name. We ended up having a girl so it was easy peasy. I think your body is telling you something and you'll probably have a boy and it will be a non issue. : )

I like Audrey, but it might be getting very popular, if you're worried about that. From your list I love Felicity, and wanted to maybe use it for a future dd b/c it's very similar to my Mom's maiden name, but dh isn't a fan.
To go with the "A" names, what about Annabeth/Anna-Beth? (Yeah...I like Hart of Dixie...)
But I also agree with what @photojane: said, maybe wait and see til you meet her (if he/she is a her!) and see what name "fits?"

Since you like A names, I just wanted to throw Aurelia into the mix. It's underused, so it's very fresh, yet timeless. So cute and slightly stronger than Amelie, Amelia, Aubry and the like. No one in kindergarten will have it or think that it's weird. If I didn't have a Cecilia, I would have used it!

Can you try to narrow it down to maybe 5 or even 5 first-middle combos and then wait until baby arrives and meet her (or him) then decide?
My friend did this for their DD. They knew they were having a girl, but couldn't decide on a name. They had 5 first-middle combo's and after spending the first few days in the hospital meeting their daughter they decided to name her right before they went home. They used one of the first and middle names from their list but not one of the predetermined combinations.
FWIW I love Adela from your list and Audrey is so classic. What about Aurora?

@photojane: I'm thinking girl only because five people that I know just had boys this year and only two had girls. My assistant at school thinks girl. Most everyone else says I look like I'm carrying a boy.

We added Reese to the mix and narrowed it down to Audrey or Reese. I'm just concerned that Reese Mae doesn't sound quite right and we really don't want to change the middle name.
