We have an all-staff planned for next week (Tran of 25) and as a management team decided to do a virtual scavenger hunt, put everybody into small team breakout groups, etc. This was humming along until today’s virtual baby shower for a colleague when the organizer did this exact idea, and 95% of the team was there. Now I need a new plan. Does anybody have anything fun? 25 people, not a tonne of team cohesion, a lot of people won’t participate unless kind of forced to by being in a smaller group, most people are on phones.

Kahoot?
It’s a question and multiple choice answer game you can make. The question comes on your screen by screen sharing and they answer on their phones.

I was going to suggest some sort of trivia. Can tailor to the company or other common theme?

Kahoot will be hard if many people are on their phones, because you need to have either a second device or the ability to open a second tab in order to be able to see the questions on the Zoom screen and submit answers on the Kahoot screen.

Kahoot also seemed to only let me have up to 10 people without a subscription.
@lady baltimore: I suggested Scattergories! Aldo Charades, using the “pin speaker” feature. That’s what people chose, hopefully it will work.

@erinbaderin: my husband’s work did a “quarantine bingo,” where you checked off things you have done in quarantine, and people volunteered stories about those things. It was actually super cute and got people talking. They circulated the boards before. A few that I remember were baked sourdough bread, cut your own hair, did an art project, took your temperature, learned a new skill.
But we are in a hot spot and have been on lock down for months, so there were a lot of affirmative responses. Maybe less fun if the quarantine has been less intense.
